Slow gusher. Beige head doesn’t last. Hazy brown body with carbonation. Earthy wooden rhubarb aroma with barnyard notes. Intensely acidic earthy barnyard taste. So intensely acidic I can’t drink it. Leaves acidic metallic finish in the mouth. (0.5l bottle, not sure where from. Batch #789. Best before is in 2018.)

Sampled at Vill & Syrlig 2015. Almost clear amber body with a small but lacing of-white head. Nice aroma of malt, wood, red berries and pleasant acidity. Flavor is tart, acidic, smooth malt, wood, dry fruit, sour berries and vinegar. Fine balanced body with a nice, tart/sour berries aftertaste. A bit like a more smooth and less acidic Rodenbach grand cru. Can’t really identify the cherry, it’s more a general sour/fruity flavor. A very nice start at the sour beer festival for me.

On tap @ BØ 15. Pours maroon, with a creamy head. Aroma is wooden barrels, balsamic vinegar, leather, cherries and tannins. Medium body, with very soft carbonation. Flavour is tart balsamic vinegar and currants, with cherries, wood and kandi. Lingering tart fruity finish.

Pours hazy brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, funk, tart, red berries, cherries and hint of caramel. Taste is medium sweet, light bitter and medium sour with a long sour, berry finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Poured from a tap at Haand Ølfestival 2015, shared with Finn. A bubbly layer at the top of a coal brown coloured body. Herbal hops on the nose, mid-tart. Mixed taste profile of tart cherry, earth, and brown malts that work quite well together. Lingering tartness to the ending. Satisfying, not a favourite though (Drammen 30.05.2015).

On tap at Haand Festival. A lightly unclear, pale brown beer topped by a dense, beige head. The aroma is quite berry-ish, with cherries, some generic red berries and a fruity touch. Some sourish hints and a touch of malts too. It’s full-bodied and smooth on the palate, with a berry-sour flavor. Not much vinegar-ish, just very smooth and soft. Lasting berry finish. Quite wonderful this one, and very easy drinkable. 150530

50cl bottle (shared by Arve_Christian - thanks a lot!) at Café Sara, Oslo. Clear chesnut coloured with almost no head. Fairly fruity aroma with sour cherries, some earthy and yeasty notes, mild malty and hints of almonds. Sour and fruity with nice cherry flavour and delicious acidity. Tasty and refreshing. Nice one!

A really fine dark amber pour, but absolutely no head. Well then I thought this must be a really flat carbonation. No it was not flat. Quite smooth soft. Nice inviting aroma. Cherries, wood and sour fruity. Medium to full body. Quite balanced sourness and sweetness. Pleasant acidic. Complex flavor with cherries, fruity, caramel and wood. Nice evening sipper.
