It's Halloween and the spirits are restless. As the crack opens between the seasons, the walls between alive and undead collapse, and ghosts, ghouls, vampires, witches and creatures of the night stalk the earth, haunting souls and revealing a glimpse into a dark world. At midnight we cast our pumpkins into the brewing pot, drop in our dreams and wishes and nightmares, dash in some spice and pour ourselves a cup, content at last, with a Resting Witch Face. A collaboration with our friends at Froth Beer Magazine, Australia's free & independent craft beer magazine.

Can. Nice and black. Allspice and vanilla nose. Sweet, somewhat syrupy. Very easy to drink. I don't recall any pumpkin at all, but that's fine with me, as I really detest that orange abomination.

Pumpkin porter, huh. What's that definition of gentleman? - one who can play the bagpipes, but doesn't. Can. Black with an inch of light tan head that lasts well. Aroma of vanilla, chocolate, spice - nutmeg, cinnamon. Really rather sweet with syrupy chocolate, vanilla, spices. A kick of bitterness at the end helps keep order. No real sign of the pumpkin, but that's not really a complaint. No other complaints either.
