Our take on a "west coast style" IPA, Jagged Edge is big and hoppy, yet it’s also extremely well balanced, and surprisingly easy to reach for another.
We "first wort hop" with Columbus, and use Simcoe for flavor additions. The finishing hop additions include Columbus, Centennial, and Simcoe. Columbus is pungent with sweet orange aromas and flavor. Centennial adds floral notes along with additional citrus. Simcoe add a nice pine like flavor and aroma. These hops were chosen for their flavors and their moderate cohumulone content, which means they are bitter but not overwhelmingly bitter in large quantities. Pale malts are complemented by caramalt and light munich malts, which both enhance the malty sweetness and color and work to balance the substantial hop bill.

65 cl bottle, 7.3%. Orange color, hazed, with a thick offwhite head. Classic IPA on the nose. Aroma of grapefruit and orange with a powerful amount of hops, resins, brown sugar, apricot, doughy malts. Body is medium, somewhat dusty. Intense bitter finish with a trail of burnt dark chocolate.

12oz bottle pours with a clear copper body that supports a modest light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up a mix of sweet malts, some floral hops and then a good dose of citrus hops. The taste begins with a touch of malt sweetness that sweetens up grapefruit and tangerine like citrus that lean a little toward floral hops to midway. Toward the finish the citrus hops shine with hop bitterness as the thin ribbon of sweet malts fades away leaving the body a bit thin at the end. Nice easy drinking IPA.

A new arrival to NH, the notches on the side indicate July 2012, is that a bottled on or exp date? Pours a crystal clear deep golden color with a huge white head that shows great retention and moderate lacing. The aroma is mostly garlic and green onions. Maybe there’s a hint of bready malt, but its really hard to find. The flavor follows the aroma really well. I get lots of vegetative onion and garlic hop flavor with just a hint of sweet bready malt that is struggling to find a voice. The finish holds a bit of licorice and more of the garlic long after every sip. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a light syrup resinous mouthfeel. Intense vegetative hop aroma and flavor, but this seems to lack any complexity. I could drink this, but wouldn’t seek it out.

from a bottle, very fresh pine yummy aroma. big rocky heaad does not fade. hops are quite apparent yet its difficult for it to get really rude as with most ipa wannah beez. fresh again on the flavor, probably what hops taste like recently squeezed. big long nasty bitter, did i say bitter finish. terribly on style bordering on double ipa territory. However, unlike many others in this style it never really gets nasty. did i chew on an old harley 5x16 inner tube?

Sampled on tap at Green Dragon, pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma of floral and piney hops, some soapy notes. Flavour of citrusy hops, with some orange / lemon zest, floral notes and buttery malt. Very solid IPA, if not generic.
