A quality brew The beer itself is one of the stronger lagers in South Africa with a clean, refreshing taste. It has a spicy hoppiness complemented by lightly kilned malted barley. There are also subtle fruity notes in the aroma and taste, adding to the depth of the beer. A dense white head and straw-coloured body characterise it.

tasted in parallel the versions brewed in Botswana and South Africa - and they are quite different. South African version: clear golden colour, medium sized typical pale lager head; aroma of grains, some citric notes, hay and bread, maybe hints of herbal notes, too; taste is the same with corny sweetness; points: 4, 3, 4, 2, 7 - 2.0 The one breved in Botswana: brighter golden colour, medium sized white head; aroma of grass, hay, acidic and metallic notes; taste is the same with metallic-artificial like bitterness as well as some cardboard; points: 2, 3, 2, 1, 5 - 1,3 In summary: it is strange that these two beers are aliased despite the obviously different recipes. Gammel utgått 340 ml flaske, men må jo bare teste. Ser fortsatt bra ut, gylden brun klar med fingerhøyt hvitt skum. Er nok litt FOR gammel denne, lukter rødvinseddik. Noe nøtteaktig karamell sitter igjen. Smaken var eddik, med noe søtlighet. Kan ikke rate til noe annet enn snitt.

33cl can as a gift. Pours clear, pale golden with a rather small, white head. Grainy and slightly fruity aroma (ripe pears) with hints of cooked vegetables and hops. Moderate sweet and much cleaner and less sweet than expected - even some bitterness is noticeable. Fairly easy to drink, but far from interesting, but I have certainly tasted worse.

From tap at Alba Easy Longe at Durban Airport 17.03.15. Pale and clear straw colour. Bright, white head. Not much aroma. Perhaps a hint of maize. Waterish taste, with hints of maize and artificial sweetener. Low bitterness. Just another bland eurolager.

Bottle at the DC Tasting. Clear straw yellow with off-white head. Aromas of skunk, corn, grain. Tastes of skunk. Light body with a dry finish.

From a 75 cl bottle at the Brony bottle share at Travlrs place. Pours a clear pale gold with an off white head. Aroma of yeasty white bread. Flavors of rice and corn. Watery and nasty.

Poured from a bottle it is a light gold color with a slight head the aroma is malty and the taste is thin and lacks any real glavor

Pours very clear blonde, very light . Smell is very sweet, chemical grains . Taste is sharp bitter, overcarbonated and very chemical . Weak , not really good tasting .
