Not bad. Barleywine side offers up plenty of caramel, forest honey, and dark fruit, while the stout offers cocoa, molasses, cola, and char. Finishes with a massive burst of bourbon sweetness, then swerves hard into oak and bitter chocolate. Never quite meshes into a convincing single pint, but goes back easily enough.

Can from Bine & Vine. Pours dark brn/blk with a tan head. Aroma of boozy dark malt. Full bodied. Flavor is boozy dark malt and perhaps anise. Chocolate and coffee don't seem to be in it. Heat is tho! Gets some dark caramel and a nut I can't figure out. Amazingly good.

Bottle shared by Tom, thanks! Pours near black with a brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has dark grains, toffee, roasted malts and a decent amount of bourbon coming through. Flavor has strong dark grains and roasted malts with toffee and bourbon supporting.

Medium dark brown color. Very rich sweet boozy nose with tons of oak, caramel, dark fruit, roasted malts, burnt raisins, brown sugars in the nose. Thin mouth, fairly boozy, a bit rough, tons of whiskey notes with dark fruit and roasted malts. Just too rough and boozy in mouth to be enjoyable. Very warming finish. Nice nose but quickly goes down hill.

Bottle thanks to John. Pours a very dark brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is roasted malt, cocoa, wood, caramel. Medium body, similar flavors to nose, dry, boozy, very good.
