Dark: This classic beer style was first brewed by monks in the Middle Ages in order to fortify themselves during their fasting. A generous amount of malt goes into every bottle of smooth, rich Taybeh Dark Beer. Brewed in small batches in German traditional style using roasted malted barley, hops, yeast, and pure water creating a classic quality rare brew initially produced to celebrate Christmas 2000 at the turn of the century.

Bottle at home. Pours a clear dark brown colour with a small beige head. Aroma of rye bread, walnuts, dates, milk chocolate, leather and some cocoa. Flavour of walnuts, leather, bread crust, raisins and some cocoa and ash in the end. Has a slick and a little watery mouth feel, light to medium body and a light bitterness. Malty and nice.

Så og si svart farge med beige skum.aroma av brent malt, røkt. Noe keydder, sjokolade og røkt i smak. Ganske mye kullsyre.

Ultramørkebrun/svart. Middels høyt mokkafarget skum som daler sakte. Aroma av sjokolade & nøtter. Smaken kaffe & karamell. Behagelig lett tørr avslutning.

330ml bottle purchased at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Fawn-coloured head with good retention. Deep dark brown body, clingy lacing. Inviting smell of earthy chocolate, woody. Malt-forward taste of grainy chocolate, biscuit, and nuts. Roasted semi-dry ending with a backdrop of coffee. Medium bodied. Pretty alright. (Tromsø 15.12.2020).

Bottle from Craft Beer Cellar Belmont, I thought it was a new country tick. Dark brown with a tightly bubbled tan head that persists. Light earthy roast with light caramel and wet cardboard. Not bad.

(Bottle) Pours very dark brown with thin loose short-lived tan head. Pleasant aroma of coffee, toasted malt, nuts. Medium body, good bright carbonation. Nice taste - rich toasted malt, some dark chocolate bitterness appearing later. Easy drinking and very pleasant.

Bottle from DSG, thanks! Deep dark brown color, pours a big head. Caramel, roast, coffee and milk chocolate in the aroma. Malt, chocolate and roast in the flavor. Almost medium bodied, but still with a cream and cacao mouthfeel. Liked it!
