Kind of in the mood for something big and dark so cracked this: Ise Kadoya Imperial Stout 9% Deep inky black with a tan head that didn’t linger. Nice roasty cocoa aroma, medium body and slightly scratchy mouth wheel. Deeply roasty with savory soy type flavors as well as cocoa. Could be a bit fuller but generally a decent well balanced take on the style.

Doesn’t taste so strong. Chocolate and roast. Alcohol is subdued. Some marzipan. Nice

dark brown color. Big dark fruit, roasty, brownies and somewhat vinous nose. The body is amazingly light for 10%, but it doesn’t deliver the complexity in the nose with ok roasted character and some dark fruit. Highly drinkable, but overall lacks complexity.
