Sample at the brewpub. This brew is a hazy dark amber-gold color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Oaky, vinous aroma. Medium body with flavors of oak, citrusy hops and malt. The finish is oaky and hoppy with a fruity aftertaste. Above average overall.

Draft at the Bistro’s West Coast BA Fest, 11/10/07; Nose extremely hoppy with ivy and pine odors and a winey note; very cloudy copper with a small beige head; flavor shows medium hop bitterness, but not too much, ivy, and some wine and wood notes. Tied for my favorite of the Fest with the Valley Dec Gran Cuvee!
