Keg at the taproom, Coronado Island, 13/11/14. Chestnut brown with a moderate beige swirl and edgeing. Nose is Belgian yeast, candied fruit peel, date, spice, toffee. Taste comprises dark fruit, clove, cake mix, yeast esters, light spice, toffee. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok dubbel, some bitterness tempers the sweet elements so doesn’t get to sweet and cloying.

Chocolate malt, a bit of dark fruit, lacks balance and depth. Not bad, but too hoppy and over attenuated.
