Mortification is a full bodied Belgian-inspired Quadrupel . We ferment Mortification with one of our house Belgian yeast strains. It has notes of dried fruit, stone fruit, chocolate, and spice. Mortification is refermented in this bottle to create its fine carbonation. Pour slowly, allowing the natural yeast sediment to remain.

Sample at the brewpub. The beer pours a clear dark bronze color with a medium light beige head that dissipates quickly. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of yeast, dark fruit and malt. Medium body with flavors of sweet yeast and malt accented by raisins and spices. The finish is sweet and malty with a lingering yeast aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
