341ml bottle. Pours a murky red-brown with a thin, creamy, short lived, beige head that leaves spotty lacing. Semi-sweet aroma of caramel malt, oak, bourbon and dark fruit. Sweet flavour of toasted caramel malt, toffee, raisin and oak in a dry, bourbon warming finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Well, this has been aging for 11 yrs, so I'm not sure if that's the problem, but I liked the regular version more. I found this to be less complex and with a thinner texture than the original.

2010 version. lots of strawberries and oranges and candycanes. Hardly any bourbon notes. Too sweet, not balanced. Very hoppy. Overall enjoyable, but needs more time to meld together. I think they should have held on for one more year before releasing.

Bottle sample at a tasting. Thanks David Cohen. Almost clear red color with no real head. Aroma of malt, caramel, some dark fruits, a bit of chocolate and honey hints. Sweet malty flavor with some molasses, licorice notes, dark fruits and a rather bitter finish with some hops. Full-bodied.

At a tasting, thanks David, small head that dissapears quite quickly, lightish brown to burgundy red colour, subdued aromas of hay, spices and atouch of dates, flavours of candy, butter, nuts, dark cherries and some berries, short aftertaste. Fair.
