Beiaard Bier (Bière de Carillon) is a top fermentation beer with refermentation in the bottle. Beiaard is of course bronze colored and contains 3 different types of malt (one pale-ale malt and two caramel malts). You taste a full-bodied beer with a harmonious harmony of malt flavor and creamy caramel notes and a light, sweet reverberation. The beer tastes fresh and gives you a warm feeling afterwards.

Broeder Jacob honors the Belgian craft beer culture, under the motto 'Beer is Music'. It was therefore only logical that the Leuven bell and carillon association ''Campanae Lovanienses'' thought of this beerfirm when the idea matured to develop a Carillon beer.

Bottle at home. Aroma of ripe fruits, tart apples, malt, hint of caramel, slight sugary notes. Flavour is moderate sweet with some mild sour notes. Drinkable but rather nondescript. Lacking depth.

Pours unclear blonde. Big white head. Smell is perfumy, floral. Fresh. Medium intensity. Taste is sharp, tad bitter, mild creamy maltyness that builds up. Tad bitter. Crispy, special malts ( aromatic , cereal, complex ) very mild esthers, no phenols. longers towards a clean fermentation ( relatively, that is ) decent. medium- thick body, medium to medium low carbo. Earlier Rating: 11/11/2014 Total Score: 3.2Bottle . Pours clear , dark amber . Small white head , Smell is dusty malts . Taste ... Not much, tbh . Starts off bit bitter , but I dont believe its due to hops . Some sugar backbone but not sweet . Some malts with a bit of sweetness in the aftertaste ... Pretty unbalanced ...

10/09/2016 - 33cl bottle @ Carillon, Oudenaarde. Hazy dark orange wirh nice off-white head. Nose is first sweet malty, light caramel, later some fruit. Nice carbonation and body. Taste is first sweet, even sugary, malts, fruits and at the end some bitterness comes up and makes it much nicer.

Light brown colour. Aroma is intense with sugary fruits. Almost like jam. Flavour is much less intense. Fruity sweetness and yeast but not much depth.
