This traditional English-style barley wine is full-bodied, with a cherry aroma and lasting maltiness. It can be enjoyed now, or, if kept in a cool dark place, will continue to develop interesting flavours. Big Bad John is a welcome addition to any special event.

A deep mahagony color, a full nose of hazelnuts, dark rum, apples, raisins. The medium body, has brown sugar, raisins, dark rum and slightly syrupy while ending moderately bitter and rich. Very succulent and hides the 10.5% alcohol very well.

Dark amber; big chewy malt aroma - smells a little young. Chewy palate. Herbal hops do balance out the malts (crystal noted), but there is room for settling down. A great one for the cellar - will definitely be wonderful after a two or three years.

Rerate after 2 years:Clear brown, with long lasting white head. Sweet carmel and cereal aroma. Smooth sweet carmel malt flavor, with molasses and cereal(barley) overtones The 10+ alcohol is not even noticeable.Be careful with this one, Great body, chewy
