From tap at the Canal Street location. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is toasted malty and caramelish. Bitter, slight herbal and crisp hoppy. Dry toasted malt base. Bitter and dry finish.

A deep red copper ale with a thin light moka head. A pleasant plum aroma, with light vinous notes, and fresh grains. In mouth, nice caramel malt with light German hops, nutty and mineral notes. On tap at Fenway brewpub, Oct. 12 2008.

Tap at the Canal Street location - a very nice Alt - dark red with a slight brown tint, and a fabulous, foamy head - just a mild sweetness on it, with a very pleasant dry character, which is great, since so many alts tend to lean toward the sweet end of the spectrum these days - lingering toasty/roasty, crisp bitterness - I like.

Showed no sign of actually being an Alt and was basically an amber ale and a sour one at that. I drank at the brewpub near the Fleet Center and this beer SUCKED. Obviously others have had different experiences.
