(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, amber to dark copper colour with a big and tanned foamy head. Yeasty and moderately sweet dark malty aroma with notes of dark fruity and a nutty touch. Medium-sweet flavour, medium bodied with a mild carbonation. Dark malt-character with fruity notes and a tinge of caramel; moderately sweet and caramelly finish with a slightly spicy touch. draft @ Festival brassicole Tournai. Brune avec un col beige/ocre. Une bière fruitée noire; prune, cassis, malt caramel, je note ce côté pomme caramélisée donnant un fini sucré. Bière légère en bouche mais avec un bon tenant sirop/sucré.

Bottle 330ml. @ home.Clear medium to dark red amber color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, light to moderate hoppy, light nutty - leather. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, caramel nutty bitter, overripped dark fruit. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to lively, finish feel has metalic notes. [20110206]

Note: the beer had been aged for 6 months
Pours a pretty clear darkbrown beer, beige creamy and adhesive head. Aroma holds caramel, chocolate, alcohol, dried fruits. MF is ok, nice carbon, full body (due to aging?). Taste has caramel, mocha, red berries, roasted malts. Aftertaste more caramel and roasted malts with some spices.

Bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker, Nr Gent, Belgium, 01.10.10 consumed at home 03.10.10. Pours puddle brown with off-white head. The aroma is malty but also a little meaty. Nice soft mouthfeel, med’ carbonation. Despite being 7% it’s a touch thin I feel reminding me of a fairly ordinary British Mild but on steroids, bit caramelly, but there is some oomphh.. A6 A4 T6 P4 Ov12 3.2

33 cL bottle. Pours cloudy deep orange to brown with a huge off-white head. Aroma is vegetable and dark malty. Fruity. Caramelish and breadish sweet. Light roasted. Mild fruity into the finish.

Bottled. A deep red beer with a very huge tan head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, anmetal. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, metal, and caramel, leading to a dry metalic finish.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a clear dark amber with a huge and lacing off-white head with excellent retention. Somewhat unclean roastiness in the nose. Medium body, hard roast, licorice and a whiff of metal. Dryish, vanillaish finish. 250810

Bottle from the Bottle Stop, Cheadle Hulme. Drunk at home. Poured a hazy reddish dark mahogany with a medium tan head. Nose was dark malt, wood, herbs and spice. Lively carbonation. Sweetish flavour which was again heavy on the dark malts with a vague metallic tang. Dryish slightly bitter finish. Drinkable, if rather forgettable.
