Joining forces with our friends at Maui Brewing Company, we wanted a beer well-suited for our similar climates. The name, meaning “Hi friend,” represents the camaraderie between our two award winning breweries. We added premium Koshihikari rice for its clean, delicate flavors, and a ton of Galaxy hops to give the beer bright citrus notes of passion fruit and guava. We present to you a unique and drinkable pale ale reminiscent of paradise.

Draught at As Is: taste is golden with a white head. Aroma is tropical fruit: pineapple and guava. Taste is not bitter or too sweet. Dry fruitiness with cracker finish.

Keg at Bazil's, 5/8/19. Hazy gold, large creamy white head, good retention. Aroma of passionfruit, papaya, grapefruit, pale malt. Taste is Grapefruit, passionfruit, pale malt. Medium bodied, moderate bitterness.

On tap at AleSmith, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma is very bitter, with bitter piney hops and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with bitter piney hops, crisp biscuity malt and straw. Very bitter and one-dimensional. Still solid for what it is.

On tap at Happy Gnome. Pours a clear gold with a yellow hue and a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has lots of citrus with some grass, rind and grain backing. Flavor is also citrus forward with grass grains and tropical fruits underlying.
