Joining forces with our friends at Maui Brewing Company, we wanted a beer well-suited for our similar climates. The name, meaning “Hi friend,” represents the camaraderie between our two award winning breweries. We added premium Koshihikari rice for its clean, delicate flavors, and a ton of Galaxy hops to give the beer bright citrus notes of passion fruit and guava. We present to you a unique and drinkable pale ale reminiscent of paradise.

Smell of citrus (grapefruit) and floral. Pours with an even lace around the rim and with a light golden color. The taste is not too sweet prince tart but has a nice balance.

Not a bad pale ale, a bit on the light and airy side, lacking much of a lasting impact, but tasty while you're imbibing. Cracker malts form a mild base with a grainy undertone, while the hops bring passion fruit, grapefruit, and lemon zest before leading to a gentle, rice-tinged back end. Very drinkable and well-made, but hard to remember once its gone.

The aromas are mild peach, stone fruit, a bit of pine resin hops plus a hint of caramel malt. Flavors are an unbalanced blend of clashing qualities.

Poured into a taster showing pale gold with a finger of clean white foam. The nose shows lightly intense but juicy notes of pineapple and passionfruit. The palate is light bodied and well carbonated. Mildly intense notes of guava and pineapple on a clean malt backbone with a mild bitterness on the finish. Clean and easy drinking pale ale.
