Bottle from Utobeer Market Stall. Deep amber pour with an off-white head. Spicy,woody and sour nose. Lots of fruit in there too. Sour, fruity flavours with plenty of sweet spices to keep things ticking along nicely. Good sweet/sour balance. Spicy, fruity finish. Nice.

Bottle at beerbistro in Toronto on Sunday night. Deep into this heavy drinking weekend this sour makes an appearance. Pours cloudy red. tastes oaky and yeasty and of tart apples and cherry. It has lively carbonation and is quite crisp. Loved it i couldn’t drink less than 750ml.

750 ml bottle, marked Blend 10.2008. Gusher. Murky brown color, thick tan head, solid but scant lacing. Aroma of sour chestnuts, caramel, butter, cherries. Taste is buttery, grows gradually more sour, background of light spice. Not unpleasant, but I would not drink this again.

Bottle, 75cl. It started coming out of the bottle on its own after half a minute or so, and poured a clear, very sparkling body, amber in color, and topped by a creamy off-white to beige head that don’t seem to wanna go away. Funky nose with a good, vinous berry scent. There’s a little caramel maltyness in the far back, and some cellar and alcohol can be detected. It’s effervescent and full-bodied, smooth and slightly puckering, with flavors of berries, dried fruits and some lemony sourness. Quite vinous, regarding both alcohol and red wine-like berries. Some alcohol blends in towards the dry, vinous end. Next to wonderful. 100501

Bottle at RBNAG-2009. Amber colour with a beige head. Aroma is sour, yeast, citrus, oak. Flavour is sour, yeast, citrus, oak, funk. Interesting beer.

750 ml bottle sampled@RBNAG 2009, Vatlandsvåg. Hazy reddish brown body with a small but dense orange film on top. Aroma is sour, funky, cellar notes, fruity and malt. Favor is refreshing sour, fruity with malt and a little hint of oak. Some bitterness in the finish. Very nice.

Bottle at the Ann Arbor location. Pours an orange red with no head. Aroma is sour vinegar, red apple, strawberry, some other general fruit aromas, and a woody aroma. Flavor is again vinegar sourness with red apple and oak flavors. Low carbonation. Very tasty and straightforward.

29th July 2008. Reddish brown cloudy beer. Sour tartness but with a medicinal twist. Plenty of oaky dryness in the finish plus more medicinal spicyness. Slightly out there flavour but a nice beer.

Bottle, Blend 4 2008, ABV 7.2%, RBNAG 2009 in Vatlandsvåg. Amber colour, moderate off-white head. Very nice sour & sweet & funky aroma. Moderately sour and oaky flavour, fairly light bodied.

Bottle. The color was fine, reddish-brown and slightly cloudy with a foam that remained as long as there was beer left in the glass. Nice sour notes in aroma, also hay, berries and apples were found. The taste was both good and interesting. A nice acidity, however, far from extreme. Bit Cantillon-light maybe one could say? Also fruit, vanilla, raspberry, caramel and oak. A very pleasant beer.
