Slightly sour but malty aroma. It’s a spicey aroma. The color varies with light from brownish amber to ripe apricot. The white head goes quickly, but there’s enough carbonation to toss a little lacing around the edges. Starts tart, maybe a bit sour, fine carbonation, stone fruit and oak. The sour could be a brettomycean thing, but, if so, it’s not all that sour. It is reminiscent of Russian River products though. The finish is dry and woody. For sipping in large sips.

750ml Bottle Pours out a hazy amber with a touch of brown topped with a off white head. A GREAT aroma of sour fruit. I can pick up some of the alcohol on this. A little oak on it. Thanks Indian_red for this.

Bottle Pours a rather murky redish orange with a small but dense sandy colored head. Terrific sheeting lacing. Lots of pitted fruit, sour apples and soft spiciness. Flavor is very tart and musty. Lots of spices and funky yeast notes that actually put me off a bit. Fairly bitter and quite sour. Lingering woody grassy bitterness. Medium palatte and rather lively carbonation.

Popped a gusher! Didn’t manage to lose too much. Appealing aroma, with sour cherries and pits, some fruitcake, brandy, perhaps calvados. Dark orangey-brown color with a foaming head; cloudy with some solid particulates. Palate is rather dry and slightly astringent, seemingly tannic. Fair amount of sourness, but there’s still a light caramelized sweetness hiding in there for balance. Finish is dry and a touch bitter (the latter detracts). Nice complexity, but a slightly flawed beer.

Bottle. Musty, dried cherry and wine aroma. Murky orange brown with ample head. Pepper, mace, caramel, and sour cherry flavor with a nice dry musty finish. High acidity and carbonation. Another finely made beer by Jolly Pumpkin - I really enjoy their brews.

Much more sour than I expected. It is light red in color and a small head that does float on top of the beer until the very end. There is some sediment on the bottom of the bottle that I chose to agitate, and it turned the clear amber beer into something more cloudy. Aroma is sour, there is barnyard, some balsamic vinegar, sour fruit. Flavor is yeasty, especially after agitating the sediment. Lots of sourness, including more barnyard and a naturally fermented character. I don’t pick up the complexity that others perceive, but this is unique and very enjoyable anyway.

Bottled, thanks Immy! Cloudy dark amber, creamy head. Buttery ligtly acidic Brett aroma. Dry and light bodied with lively mouthfeel and notes of raspberries and oak. What a wonderful flavour explosion! Incredibly light and drinkable for 7.2%. Absolutely superb!

Biggish light brown lasting creamy head with larger bubbles. Dark red hazy body with floaties and lots of carbonation. Soft, acidic vinuous aroma with notes of red berries and oak, and some alcohol. Watery raspberry metal taste with bitter metal aftertaste. Papery raspberry taste lingers. Yuck! This smells good, but the taste is bad. (0.75l bottle.)

Bottle. Somewhat hazy reddish brown volor with a big cream colored head. Tart aroma with some lemon, caramel and wood (I can also see the bourbon that someone pointed out). Tart flavor with good malt backing. Some fruitiness - lemon and a bit of berry. Underlying sweetness behind the tartness. Tartness lingers, but there’s also some caramel in the finish. Lot’s of carbonation.

Style 65/70; Bottle from iowaherkeye’s first trade, Don’t hesitate to trade with Joey! Nose of sour caramelness; dark amber color with a huge, longlasting, heavy lacing beige head; Nice and lightly sour. carameely malt flavor, lots of brett, with a spicy, hop finish. Since this is the first of the style, I’m not an expert, but liking sour foods and lambics, I liked it! Fonishing the 750 ml with a Ceasar chicken wrap sandwich so the 7.2% doesn’t get to me.
