Tasting at Brian's
Black colour, viscous. Expected massive Imperial Stout, moderately sweet, but also lots of phenol, and quite some burning alcohol, boozy; not very elegant.

Bottle - Dark maple, molasses and tons of booze. Jet brown with a light brown head. Sweet whisky and sticky notes. Rich, but no heat.

Dark brown. Light whisky, sweet, sugary almond, and there's some burnt malts in there as well. Soft and sweet, with a light alcohol note, decent vanilla, and a nutty, mellow chocolate character. Rich. I like it, the chocolate and the vanilla go well together, and the little bit of nuttiness lends some fun nuance.

22 oz. bottle, pours jet black with a small light brown head. Nose brings out intense bourbon whiskey barrles upfront, with fairly light roast, lots of chocolate, and plenty of vanilla. Flavour is intense, with loads of whiskey barrels, silky vanilla, a little cocoa and light roast. Intense whiskey comes through without being overly abrasive. Oily, sticky on the palate. Wonderful, decadent treat.

From bottle shared with friends. Black color with beige brown head. Malty aroma, roasted, chocolate, cocoa, caramel, dark dried fruits, whiskey - alcohol, wood. Sweet and bitter taste like aroma. Full silky body with soft carbonation.
