Bottle shared by ClarkVV--thanks, Clark! Inky, opaque black with nice viscosity. Aroma is strong whiskey over earthy, sweet malt, dark fruit. Taste is strong dark fruit, toffee, earthy malt, whiskey, oak, late chocolate. Thick texture, full bodied, soft carbonation, finish as taste. A dessert sipper best in small doses.

22 oz bottle. Thank you Clarkvv for the share. Aroma is black, licorice, chocolate, wood. Whiskey is pretty well balanced with chocolate, licorice, raisins and perhaps fig. Interesting stout!

2024 bomber drunk 7/26/25.
Dark, undetermined clarity. Tan head quickly to partial cover.
Rich whiskey and oak with nice spice and sweetness. Good mix of strong whiskey character and softer malt. Great woody oak character with a touch of char and salt. Lovely stuff with nothing aggressive and a seeming excellent balance and attenuation.
Raisin, prune, that sort of thing. Very, very English RIS or even Old Ale-like with the accompanying oxidation and salty licorice. Good attenuation but still good malt depth without any syrup. Lingering prune, moderate whiskey and good strength without any sharp/hot alcohol or overdone whiskey. Chocolate and salty char with oxidized prune and light oak reprise.

Big barrel, chocolate, some black licorice, but not enough to be off putting. Getting ready to put a new pool in.

Fat på Brewskival 2022, fre. R1 BA, 11.5%. Svart med liten nätt brun krona. Massor av fat. Fat i förgrunden. Lakrisal, lätt violton, mörk choklad, toffee, marsipan, kexchoklad. Bra som alltid.

650ml bottle. Jet black colour with late awakening, small, creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, dark brown head. BA supported, roasty and chocolately, dark malty, caramel malty, minimally woody aroma, notes of caramel, dark caramel, some chocolate, coffee, fudge, vanilla, Bourbon, marmite overtones. Taste is slightly alcoholic, roasty and chocolately, dark malty, sweet-ish caramel malty, notes of caramel, dark caramel, fudge, couverture, Belgian chocolate, some vanilla, Bourbon, light cinnamon overtones; minimally warming, alcoholic finish. Viscous texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, fine, soft, still efficacious carbonation. Harmonious and balanced, rather homogeneous, not the most complex Impy Stout, dangerously drinkable - enjoyable.

Bottle on train back from Kyle. Pours oily jet black with a dirty tan head. Aroma is chocolate, coconut, fudge, marshmallow, whisky barrel comes through. Taste is chocolate, fudge, coconut, marshmallow, whisky barrel there but we'll balanced. Nice bur from the booze but super chuggable. Cracking.
