Friends & Family & Beer is more than a festival - it's a wider celebration of community, creativity and independent values. To emphasise this, we're brewing a series of collaborations with our friends, and donating 5% of profits from each to charity. The second is with New York's Finback. As both breweries are renowned for rich, flavour-packed, hoppy beer, we've created a punchy Double Dry Hopped Pale Ale hopped exclusively with Strata. This bold new varietal balances aromas and flavours of ripe tropical fruit with a dank, herbal character.

Can at home from CW online. Pours murky yellow with a decent white cap. Aroma is pineapple, guava and orange, plenty of dank hop. Taste is a big dank hop hit softened with pineapple, guava and tangerine, a little hop burn and a bitter dank finish. Solid tropical dank APA

Can. Hazy yellow gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and has a decent fine minerally crispness. Light but reasonably sweet malts. The Strata hops are notably piney crisp with an undertone of underripe strawberry. I get the expected melon and passion fruit but there is also a floral mandarin riding throughout. Light crisp fruity finish. Needs a few minutes to open out this one but when it does... nice!
