Barrel-Aged Imperial Grapefruit Gose
The cocktail inspiration lives on. Our imperial gose is brewed with agave and sea salt before being aged in tequila barrels. But it doesn’t end there. Once it’s pulled from the barrels, it gets a dose of fresh grapefruit juice to ramp up the tanginess and to pay homage to our other favorite tequila-based cocktail, the Paloma. Sweet, salty, and mouth-puckeringly delicious. ¡Más Agave… Grapefruit!

Draft. A hazy dark amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of agave, citrus fruits, spices, sirup, and malt. The flavor is very sweet with notes of citrus fruits, agave, sirup, and malt, leading to a tart finish. Dangerous.

Refrigerated 12 oz. stubby brown bottle, bottled April 27, 2020 poured into a glass. Hazy golden with medium off-white head. Aroma is sweet agave, medium body, lower carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is fresh grapefruit, sweet agave, tequila, some wood, and a little salt.

Bottle. Orange pour. Aroma of salty orange, yeast esters, grapefruit, boozy fruit, wheat and vanilla. Taste has salty yeast esters, orange, sweet-ish grapefruit lemonade, wheat, vanilla, tequila booze and a salty finish. It's too sweet unfortunately, which makes it more a salty radler than a gose.

12 oz, thanks bro. Aroma is coconut, wood, grapefruit, shortcake, salinity, lime, tequila. Pours hazy burnt orange with a one finger bone-white head that recedes into a ring pretty quickly. Taste is moderately to highly sour (8/10), moderately sweet, savory, with flavors of the barrel, cake, grapefruit. Some light grapefruit bitterness makes itself know after it warms up a little. Lots of yummy saltiness. Perfectly carbonated creamy mouthfeel. Weird, really rich, but tasty. Not sure I want a whole bottle. We'll see.

Bottle from Holiday Market. Pours a clearish orange copper with a finger of off-white foam that dissipates to a ring. Thick and sweet agave and honey aromas with faint lemon and candied grapefruit notes. Heavy and syrupy on the palate with sweet candied grapefruit and candied lemon with a lingering agave, honey sweetness. More sweet grapefruit candy notes that linger with syrupy, sticky mouthfeel. ABV is hidden well but too heavy and sweet for me.
