Enjoyed directly from the can. Aroma and taste: toast, caramel, bread, faint roasted notes, some hop. Light sweet and bitter. Mouth feel: light to medium body, average carbonation. Overall: not a star.

Misty deep bronze colour. Tall beige head. Weak lacing. Aroma: walnuts, dark malts, lager yeast, dried fruit. Light to medium body. Soft carbonation. Taste: light sweet, malty, dunkel-like. Bread, nuts, treacle, minimally vinous. Low to light bitterness. They missed the style. Even as a dunkel it were rather mediocre.

Bottle from a Getränkemarkt in Leipzig. The name sounds suspicious in today's overly PC culture but what can you say, it's a black colored beer. Ok actually dark brown as I pour it, moderate head. Slightly roasted nose with some malty hints, nothing astounding. Flavor is a wee bit nutty, slightly flat-tasting mineral maltiness. It's alright but I'm missing the hook.
