Can to snifter.
Appearance: black in color in the glass with a one finger khaki foamy head which slid off nicely to leave some messy lace
Aroma: milk and dark chocolate with some toasted coconut and sweet vanilla bean-like vibes blending in, then a subtle sweet coffee to semi-earthy toned coffee thing going on underneath
Flavor: mildly sweet through the prior noted aromas with a touch of earthy bitterness; coconut seems to try to stabilize but also seems to fall off a little bit, subtle aftertaste of the roasted malts, vanilla and coconut
Texture: medium bodied, between sessionable and being a sipper; pretty darn smooth on my tongue; finishes fairly smooth with the coconut and vanilla and milk chocolate
Overall: not a bad imperial pastry stout but perhaps not one of their higher rated best works, did I find the "weakest link" on their beers, maybe I did but that's just comparatively speaking.

Can from Eddy's Beverage Inc. Inky, cola brown with nice sparkle, ephemeral fizzy head, thick, white floaties in suspension and trace lacing. Aroma is strong vanilla, sweet malt, milder coconut. Taste is strong vanilla, covering alcohol (somewhat medicinal), sweet malt, mild coconut. Smooth, thick texture, full bodied, soft carbonation, alcohol heat and finish as taste (including medicinal quality). Not an appetizing look and alcohol is too prevalent.

On tap at Hubbards Cave, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is rich, with lots of vanilla, gentle coconut, and dark sugars. Flavour is rich, with big vanilla, subtler coconut, and dark sugars. Quite boozy and not the smoothest, but theres some nice base malts and dark sugars. Good stuff.

Can. Black beer with a brown head. Chocolate and toasted malt aroma with light coconut. Vanilla and caramel flavor with chocolate. Medium-plus bodied. Vanilla and caramel linger with chocolate and light nuttiness.

16 oz. Aroma has notes of booze, coconut, vanilla, dark chocolate. Pours black with a thin collar of beige foam, no real head. Taste is fairly sweet with a moderately bitter edge; strong coconut flavor. Softly carbonated mouthfeel. Tasty.
