Bottle from Prima Beer. Clear reddish brown with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, dried fruit and spicy. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 261214

Sampled @ O.B.E.R. Kerstbierfestival 2014, Essen. Trübes orangebraunes Bier mit geringer beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr malzig, Gewürze, fruchtig. Geschmack nach reifen Früchten, sehr malzig, Gewürze.

Sampled at Kerstbierfestival Essen 2014. Murky brownish color, medium sized off-white head. Smell and taste malts, herbs and spices, sweetish, slightly sugary, lablabla. Decent body and carbonation. Ok beer.

Bottle. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy and moderate yeasty aroma. Toffee notes. Moderate bitter flavor. Fruity esters and candis in nice balance. Average moderate bitter finish. Creamy palate. Nice.

Tasted as Brassin d’Hiver des Fagnes and as Super des Fagnes Noël. A misty dark chestnut brown Christmas ale with off-white head and light spicy and caramelly profile with dried fruits and some grassy hop bitterness in the finish as well as warming alcohol. Cliché and not outstanding, like their other beers.

Bottle 0,25cl. Dobre i smaczne, tresciwe, rozgrzewajace, przyprawowe. Swieze jagody, daktyle i sliwka w czekoladzie. Piana sredia ale wystarczajaco trwala. Ciemnawe. ciemno bursztynowe prawdziwe piwo swiateczne. Bardzo tresciwe i sycace, wspaniale pasowalo do sera, takze belgijskiego.

24/I/14 - 25cl bottle @ home - BB: 2/IX/15 (2014-117) Thanks to Domien for the bottle!

Clear red brown beer, big irregular beige creamy head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very sugary, caramel, some chocolate, lots of banana, some dried fruits. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet sugary start, lots of banana, caramel, some chocolate, bit malty. Aftertaste: lots of banana, sweet, caramel, little spicy, some liquorish, yeasty, milk chocolate.

250ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Clear pale brown pour, small off-white head. Aromas of dark fruit and Candi sugar, light spices too. Sweet toffee flavour. Clean finish. Nice.

Dunkelbraune Farbe, cremefarbener Schaum. Der Geruch ist alkoholisch-malzig. Im Antrunk ist das Bier malzig-trocken, dazu sticht eine scharfe alkoholische Note heraus, die ich bei 8,5% noch nicht erwartet hätte. Der Hauptteil ist von dieser alkoholischen Schärfe geprägt, dazu malzig-vollmundige Aromen im Hintergrund, weicher Toffee, helle Schokolade. DEr Nachgeschmack ist - neben der Schärfe, lang anhaltend, aromatisch-schokoladig-karamellartig, eigentlich mild und weich.
--> Ohne die alkoholische Note wäre es bestimmt ein leckeres Bier. Mit dieser aber leider alles andere als ein Genuss! Schade. Trotzdem vielen Dank an Kölschtrinker, der mir dieses Bier aufgetrieben hat.
