Arts and Crafts Beer Parlor, NYC tap ($7): Pours light brown with a beige head. Aroma is fruity, malty, hint of hops, and a good bit of sugar. Taste is subdued doppelbock. It remains very drinkable despite the high ABV and the maltiness. Medium bodied I would say. It is a little bit sweet, but not too much so. The hops provide a nice finish. I enjoyed it, even though I was drinking along in a bar full of suits. Not bad.

Not the best for style. Some light roast and caramel with a little hint of coffee. Brown pour with OK head and lacing. Light sweet finish with decent grain profile. Soft carbonation. Tap at Max’s.

I think that I had this one but no sure. Anyway sampled draft @ Biermuseum. Deep amber, creamy white head. Nose is slightly metallic with lots of sweetness mixed in as well, candy, caramel & very sweet malty. Taste is lightly metallic but not in an overt, bothersome way, almost more mineral-like, sweet sticky malts, sweet herbs, lager yeast / feel, caramel, faint hops in the back. Creamy & substantial mouthfeel, satisfactory brew for sure.

Draft from Liquor Barn Louisville. Barley malt, and light alcohol aroma - a lot of cardboard aroma up front. Medium yellow with small head. Sweet corn syrup and barley malt flavor. Light alcohol finish. Not bad but quite a bit of oxidation in this sample.
