Emphasizing that complexity of character can arise from simple elements, this ale is made with three malts and one hop. Its light amber color and slightly spicy malt character are derived from the use of German Dark Munich Malt and Rye Malt respectively. North American 2-row barley combines with the other grains to lay the foundation for the hop onslaught to come. Summit hops are used exclusively in the boil for bitterness, flavor and aroma but it doesn't end there. Post-fermentation dry hopping allows the 10% ABV monstrosity to gently coax the citrus rind and grapefruit aroma to join the 100 IBUs already present. This beer should greet you with a pungent citrus blast, provide a spicy yet round middle and finish with a brisk, clean bitterness.

Burk från SB 2015. EN kompetent välgjord klassisk DIPA som tyvärr inte är superfärsk när den når SB. Det gör att den specifika humlemixen är svår att urskilja. Men balans och tryck i beskan är det inget fel på. Smarrigt.

Burk från SB. Smak och doft av humle, malt, karamell, aprikos, papaya med toner av torkad tropisk frukt. Stor sötma, rund och len, brödig, genomlag av alkohol, fin beska med toner av grapefrukt, citrusskal och tall.

Bright amber-orange, moderate hazy body, with a medium, creamy, slightly yellow head.
Aroma of grapefruit, orange, pine, peach, biscuit.
Tastes of grapefruit, pine, resin, peach, orange, biscuit, honey, some tea.
Medium, oily mouthfeel, with a quite lively caebonation.
Finishes bitter, quite dry, zesty, piney, fruity, sweet malty.
Tasty. A straight and greatly balanced IIPA, with the typical, lovely, resinous grapefruit and pine notes, balanced by a smooth, sweet malt backbone. Not the most complex IPA, but really nice and surprisingly drinkable for the ABV.

355ml can at home shared with Saeglopur from trade with Nische, many thanks. Canned May 2015. dark yellow clear color, small off-white head. smells of pines, spices, grass, grapefruit, oranges, candy. full body, soft carbonation, rather full body. taste of pines, sweetness, berry like notes, spices, light herbs, candy, mango, a bit grapefruity, oranges, grass, some alcohol. finishes with sweetness, exotic fruits and some herbs&spices. l like it although its a bit heavy and rather sweet, a tad more bitterness would be nice.

Burk från SB. Ljusgul vätska med kritvitt skum. Doftar ananas, passionsfrukt samt lite tobak och fänkål. Eldig munkänsla på gränsen till spritig. Skön maltkropp. Årets upplaga innehåller Sorachi Ace med dess tillhörande smörklicksmak. Har lite svårt för det vilket drar ner smakbetyget. Hade önskat lite mer ompf i beskan. Lång värmande eftersmak.
