Beige head is thin and disappears quickly. Dark brown, almost black viscous beer fills the glass with the aroma of bourbon barrel and something sweet that is hard to describe - toffee, molasses, prunes, crisp crust of rye bread. There is also warning of exceptional strength of this beer in the aroma. So slow down and enjoy responsibly.
At the beginning of the sip, all the dark sugars will caress your palate with restrained sweetness before bourbon barrel and ethanol are adding their spices.
In the aftertaste, exceptional strength overpowers everything and melds sweet toffee and oaky-vanilla barrel into the long rollercoaster run that seems to last forever.

Cloudy deep brown with a small ivory-coloured head of low to medium retenton. Dark malts, walnut, oak tannins, treacle, vanilla, esters, berry jam, some hop. Thick body. Warming alcohol. Light to medium sweet, light hop bitterness. Powerful stuff. Very good.

Freezing Midtown bottle share, picked this up from Estonia some time ago. Deep brown pour, some beige foam. Sweet malty nose, soft and lightly boozy. In a good way. Bready and nice. Tastes deep roasty, booze there but doesn't disturb. Drinks easy, good bitterness. Sweet, roasty and somewhat slick. Dry bitter finish there, deep burnt dry fruits.

Bottle (from UJH, for stupid 10€ price). Pours dark brown-black with beige head. The head stays. Aroma is fruity, sweet, very boozy, malt, sugar. Flavor is extremely sweet, boozy, malty, vanilla, fruits, plums, caramel. Overall: should have shared, this is pure diabetes, basically undrinkable because of the massive sweetness.
