For a rye beer, you could expect something with more aromas, personally I prefer the Thurm and Taxis version. This one is ok and smooth, watery, side of rye, discreet note apricot, hop rather weak at the final, refreshing during the summer, 10.05.21

(Bottle) Dark reddish amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, spicy nose with rye bread, caramel, treacle, mint, chocolate, herbs and orange peel. Malty taste with notes of caramel, bread, rye, nougat, tobacco, cacao, herbs, orange peel and a mild spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Quite nice.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, redd-ish brown colour with average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, off-white to beige head. Slightly spicy malty and yeasty fruity aroma, hints of red and yellow apple, some rye spiciness, some bready aspects. Taste is minimally dry, spicy and slightly bready, rye malty, yeasty fruity hints of red and yellow apple; slightly dry, minimally papery finish. Minimally creamy, watery texture, dry, minimally papery-crumbly palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Balanced, flawless, relatively simple - OK.

Roodbruin bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is licht bitter hoppig en droog in de mond met iets van geroosterd brood, gedroogde pruimen en wat zwarte bessen. Zeker niet verkeerd dit bier.

330ml bottle, many thanks to djoeye for sharing. Dissipating fawn-coloured head, red-brownish body, close-to-clear, upper part lacing on the glass. Inviting bread-fruity aromas. Well blended taste character of biscuit, bread, and a little touch of stewed fruits. Grainy bitter endnotes. Likable. (Rating no. 19800) (Rating session with Finn and djoeye, PivotekaH7, Tromsø 27.01.2021).
