Fallhöjden inom Åre samhälle har skapat många myter. Lite rolig kuriosa är historien om Zenta. En vandrinssägen som florerat i Åre förtäljer att den första som åkte från toppen av Åreskutan och ner till torget i Åre var en samekvinna, Zenta. Hon uppges ha gjort det för en flaska brännvin och stod sig hela vägen ner men frös ihjäl när hon kom till torget.
Ölen är bryggd på vatten från Pilgrimskällan, som bara ligger 2 (riktigt långa) stenkast från Åre. Det används bara råvaror av högsta kvalitet som är noggrant utvalda för den öl du håller i handen. Hoppas den ska smaka, du kära ÅrePatriot!

Backlog. Thanks SADESA & CueSheet. Had as Årepatriot. Golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is bready, some grainy and mild herbal tones to it. Flavour is herbal, grassy, floral and mild lemongrassy and earthy tones to it. Crisp.

Appearance: Golden colour with a white head.
Aroma: Malt, bread, hops.
Body: Light body, medium carbonation.
Flavour: Malt, some caramel, hops.

(Bottle, from ICA Duved, Sweden, 18 Aug 2017. Labeled "Åre Ljus Lager", I assume it's the same.) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of bread, apricots, toffee, hay and herbal hops. Malty taste with bread, grass, toffee, a touch of citrus and a fresh grassy bitterness in the finish. Light body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and highly drinkable. Enjoyable.

Bottle from ICA, Östersund, under label ’Åre’, no ICA marking on it nor ’patriot’, so am perplexed by the title given to this beer by a previous rather but given it must be the same beer here we go. This is clearly a marketing trick by the brewery as I do not spot anything different between this beer and other light lagers from the brewery. It’s not a bad folköl but meh.
