Ondineke is a classic tripel, brewed in the ancient way, again with exclusive natural ingredients: artesian water, malt (barley), hops, yeast and liquid candy sugar. As in the Saison no spices are added.

Brewed with a Styrian Golding variety called Aalster Groene Belle Monopole.

Pours a slightly cloudy light orange with a couple of fingers of dense white head. Ok retention and lacing. Quite vivid aroma is estery and fruity (i think mainly of peach and pear, maybe banana), with some spiciness and a sweet sugary feel. Taste shows slight caramel and honey. Fruity notes, slight spiciness, maybe a hint of grass in the finish, which also shows some residual sugary sweetness. Overall quite sweet, even per style. Medium to dense in body with medium to high carbonation, resulting in a full but still soft enough mouthfeel. Overall a very much ok tripel.

Many thanks for this beer to JefVerstraete. Papier owiniety w butelke, kolorowy kapsel. Baba nagazowania, albo przypadkowo wstrzasnalem. Piana spora obfita trwala, sniezno biala grubo pecherzykowa. Kolor zlocisty jaskrawy i metny. Zapach pomaranczy zarowno owocu jak i skorki. Smak typowy jak na tripel. Slodowy, lekko kwaskowy i lekko goryczkowy. Alkohol dobrze ukryty. Serwowane w temperaturze 8 stopni w tulipanie Duvel.i moze dzieki temu to dobry Tripel.

Bottle at home. One year old bottle. The color is clear amber with a creamy beige head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, spices, dry hay, citrus and grass. Malty flavour of Belgian yeast, almonds, some alcohol, spices, hay, grass and dried apricot. Quite sweet. Has a soft and slick mouth feel, full-bodied and light bitterness. A well-balanced and sweet tripel.

Bottle: Golden, hazy, smaller creamy off-white head; moderate to solid sweet yeasty and orangey nose, some hops in the background; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, full bodied and a bit sticky; lingering orangey-yeasty and slightly vinous sweet and tart finish. Not my favourite…
