Ondineke is a classic tripel, brewed in the ancient way, again with exclusive natural ingredients: artesian water, malt (barley), hops, yeast and liquid candy sugar. As in the Saison no spices are added.

Tap at Ma Che, Roma, 22/06/13. Hazed golden with a decent white head that retains well. Nose carries woody notes, malt, cereals, fruits, booze. Taste comprises yeast esters, sour notes, candied sugars, dark fruits, toffee, bread dough, light spice. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation. Ok tripel but the booze stood out a little too much in a slightly harsh/unrefined way.

750 ml bottle into chalice, no bottle dating. Pours cloudy golden orange color with a fairly dense 1-2 finger white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Some decent spotty lacing clings to the glass, with a fair amount of carbonation streaming up. Aromas of pear, lemon, apricot, honey, grape, caramel, herbal, floral, earth, and light spiciness. Fairly nice and balanced aromas with good strength. Taste of pear, apricot, grape, lemon, herbal, honey, earth, pepper, and light yeast spiciness. Lingering notes of grape, apple, pear, herbal, honey, caramel, earth, and light yeast spiciness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice malty flavor balance; with minimal cloying sweetness. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a fairly slick and creamy mouthfeel. Overall this is a very nice tripel. Nice flavor balance and complexity; and very smooth and easy to sip on. I would imagine that his was an older bottle though, and would like to try a younger vintage. Quite enjoyable.

Bottle from bierkompass.de. Hazy orange golden color with huge white head. Strong carbonation. Aroma of malt, grain, honey, yeast, spices. Taste, starts sweet malty, continuing with floral hops, candy, grapefruit, spices. Long dry bitter finish. Good beer.

750 ml bottle. Purchased at 16th St. Pours a yellow orange with lots of carbonation but light head. Aroma of malt and light hops with floral hints. Subtle tastes of citrus, grass and hops. Nicely balanced. A good beer.

A light orange yellow beer with a medium and white head. Aroma is fresh and strongly fruity, some sweetness and belgian yeast, lots of spices, even some parfume. Taste is also strongly fruity, spicyness, some sourness, no alcohol. With yeast more smooth, round and plesant. Medium bodied, lots of carbonation, nice and fresh to drink. The basic Triple without specialites, but still succesfull and very tastefull.

750mL bottle, pours a cloudy golden orange with a medium white head. Aroma of dry apples, pears, banana, yeast, and bready malt. Flavour of hay, yeast, dry apples / pears, and floral hops. Very smooth and subtle flavours, with floral hops on the finish. Very nice.

75 cl bottle @ Gastropub Tuulensuu, bottled on 25.7.2009, BBE 25.7.2011. Rated on 02.09.2011
Aroma has alcohol, apricot, peach, mandarin. Very rich on fruits! Flavour has mandarin, peaches, apricot and some spices. Also some bun yeast and plum. No alcohol in the taste whatsoever. Adding the yeast makes this one more stale and round on taste. The staff hunted this bottle from cellar at least ten minutes but it was definitely worth waiting!

Huge white shiny head. Hazy opaque pale yellow body with carbonation. Strong coriander aroma with herbal fruity notes. Dry-sweet delicate coriander candy taste with spicy fruity notes. Light body. Fizzy mouthfeel. Dry buttery coriander and fruit aftertaste with candy notes. Nice and highly drinkable. (0.75l bottle at Café Babelaer, Aalst.)
