Brown with a dark and sustained colour, topped with a light mousse. First lactic and cheesy, the nose reveals delicious accents of coffee and roasting, and notes of heated brown sugar, cane sugar and . The palate is reminiscent of roasted and toasted, with a very present caramel touch. EBC 80.

Very attractive label. Gunk on bottom of bottle. Pours wheat cloudy and dark. Mixture of rugged creamy aromas. Ropey and leathery on the palate at times. Carbonation wains. Finish is more than I care for in a well behaved dubbel. Almost american immo in nature.

Dark chestnut color. It’s a quite basic Belgian Dubbel, based on caramel from the aroma through the flavor to the final, and with very limited bitterness to balance it; the yeast leaves an impression of ripe apples. Not bad, but a full glass is almost too much.

Dark brown color. Strong malty aroma, herbs, blue cheese. Good malty body, spicy, candi sugar, candies. Very good.

A hazy dirty brown ale with a thin off white head and chunks. Aroma of burned caramel, light spices, and fruity esters. In mouth, an interesting anis and molasse taste, light and not overbearing, some caramel, a bit thin and light alcohol, but considering this is 2 yrs old, it is still in decent shape. Bottle bought in Belgium, May 2005.

(Bottle 33 cl) Pours a hazy, dark, amber golden with a beige head. Spicy aroma with some overripe fruit, yeast and alcohol. Rather full-bodied with sweetish, fruity notes, plenty of spices and a vague, metallic edge. Some warming alcohol in the finish. Quite lovely. 160507
