Donker bruin bier met volle schuimkraag. Smaak is licht zoet, vol en kruidig, koriander en citrus. Blijft lang hangen. Uitstekend bier.

Bottle, 330 ml supermarket. Dark amber color, malty, caramel, more on the sweet side.

Nice hazy brown coloured body with a tan head, about a centimetre thick. Aroma of roasted malt, pit fruits, yeast and a nice subdued nuttiness coupled with some light earth. Medium-bodied; Strong malt tastes up front with a good pit fruit flavour, some fig and raisin flavours as well, a good alcohol flavour and a touch of earthiness and a bit of metallic note. Aftertaste shows a lot of character with the pit fruits going strong and the alcohol still present, all with a nice malt undertone shows the sugars off nicely. Overall, a very nice dubbel with a good emphasis on the malt and pit fruit aspects of the beer. I sampled this 33 cL stubby bottle purchased from a night market next to my hotel here in Gent, Belgium for €1,70 sampled in my hotel room a few minutes later on 13-August-2013.

Clear reddish brown with a light brown head. A nice beer with hints of caramel and a hoppy aftertaste.

Pours cloudy brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, yeast and dried fruits. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a fruity and caramel finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

33 cl. bottle sampled @ Gollem. Ruby, copper, brown, almost no beige head. Nose is actually pretty nice, very sweet, pure brown sugar, BE yeast & dark fruits plus liquorish,… Taste is however disappointing brown sugar water with watery dark fruits, iron, copper, weak malts, oddly off – not infected or anything just weak, too commercial, you know,... Watery. Maybe it was an old bottle or something because rating it far more optimistic than I was.

Poured from 330mL bottle. Dark reddish brown. with beige head. Mild aroma of malt and dark pitted fruit. Taste of the same fruit along with cotton candy and malt. Slight dryness stays on the tongue afterward.

From a 33 cl bottle shared at home. Pours hazy amber brown with an off white head. Caramel nose. Nice carbonated mouthfeel. Flavors of raisin bread. Lingering finish.
