0.375l bottle. Hazy orange body with a with a white head. Lemon zest and candi sugar come first in the aroma followed by notes of apples and vinegar with a hint of acetone. Taste of balsamic vinegar, sugar syrup, lemon juice, apples and some grapefruit. Not so aggressive in terms of sourness, it's rather well balanced by the sweet and the bitter notes. The carbonation is soft, the finish is dry. Very nice gueuze.

Towering cream-pinkish head, fed by lively carbonated yellow-golden beer. Bretts, wet cookies, lemon, horseblanket - and something sweet, even fatty. Sweeter, almost as if liquorice were added. "Mals" in a way I find difficult to accept. Toasted wood is probable, but in this outspoken way? Almost no acids. Still some horseblanket, and smoked barrels. Light acidthinning, quite dry finish, light dry-out effect all the same. Peculiar. Thanks to Stef!

21/XI/20 - 37.5cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker), shared @ home, BB: 29/XI/38 (2020-1065)
Clear orange blond beer, small creamy dense off-white head, stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: funky, nice, cellar, bit musty, fruity hint, some peaches, lemony, soft and gentle smell, some oranges. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: soft acidity up front, bit lemony, very fruity, bit yeasty, quite some orange peel. Aftertaste: bitter touch, dry, bit lemony, wood notes, some tannins, orange, spicy touch, cardamom, little sweet, more tannins in the finish.

Bottle shared thanks to sjogro. Bit hazy golden with white head. Deep funk, lots of wood, tannins, peach, dry mineral notes, brandy, soft alcohol, flintstones, a hint if smoke, wheat. Under medium sour and sweet and even lighter bitter. Solid medium bodied with soft boozy and dry finish. Quite good.

Bottle. Color: Clear orange amber, frothy white head. Aroma: Moderate tart and sweet, fruity white berries. Taste: Very well balanced moderate to over moderate sweet and tart, notes of sweetish and lightly tart white grapes, apples and berries. Oak wood and subtle vanilla and hints of stone fruit and caramel. Quite a lot of tannins. Lightly boozy. Quite sweet for an Oude Geuze. Smooth, bit foamy, dry-ish mouthfeel. Light bitterness. Medium body, just below average carbonation. Some complexity. Very nice.

Bottle. Grote Dorst online shop. Deep, orange gold. Pretty hazy (I did tip in the lot, and there was a fair amount of gunk in there). Dense, lasting, shiny white head. Nose has sweet, bready malts. Watery brandy. Sweet grape. Some notes of stone fruit. Touch of gingery spice. Fresh oak. Leather. Vanilla. Smells fantastic. Taste is a little tart and dry, with a pretty hefty, old wood bitterness. Nice sweet fruit on the lips. Smooth and clean on the palate. Foamy carbonation. Tart and woody finish. Lovely. Very complex and very easy drinking.

Võrdlemisi magus ja puuviljane, funk, väike konjaki / kangema alksi noot, tamm, karamell, hapu ja mõrkjas muidugi ka. Lõpp on magus ja kergelt alkone. Väga hea ehk isegi liiga magus.
