Legado de Yuste is the beer that gathers all the traditional values from the expert hands of Flanders Master Brewers brought by Emperor Charles V during his retreat at the Yuste Monastery. An abbey Ale made from Extremaduran barley malted as Vienna malt, which gives the beer both its flavor and its old golden color, selected aromatic hops Perle and Saaz (from the Czech Republic), yeast and sugar.

At home. Tulip glass. 27/05/16. Gift from my parents - the most interesting looking beer they could see in a Spanish supermarket. Looks flat. Dark amber. Pungent vegetable aroma. Doesn’t really taste like a Belgian beer. Going back to the flat theme, I’d compate the tate and palate to a flat lager.Not interesting. Not offensive.

33 cl. bottle@ the apartment in Corralejo, Fuerteventura, bought @ a local supermarket. Clear copper colour with a thin white head. Malty caramel aroma. Sweet taste with some traces of smoke in the finish. Overall too boozy, sweet and rough to be truly enjoyable.

Thx to Mathieu87 & PriorL. 330 ml. bottle sampled @ “Nog-een-half-jaar-tot-de-volgende-EBT”. Clear dark amber with no head. Nose is sweet cheap chemical malts & toffee. Taste is iron, industrial biscuit, toffee, lightly herbal. Sticky & tad iron body. Tastes quite industrial to me.
