Black with a lasting tan head. Aroma of cold coffee and green vegetables with a touch of chocolate. Dry and slightly tart chocolate flavour with weak brett-like funk and strong (bitter) cold coffee.

375 ml bottle, vintage 2009, bought at Vinmonopolet Vika and consumed at my hotel room. Top score when it comes to the appearance with its stylish, compact, champagne-like bottle, pale golden bottle neck, fawn-coloured head, and dark brown body. Unusual aroma of dark chocolate mixed with a kind of tartness that is not overdone. The taste profile is also strange with herbal dry, dark malts, coffee grounds together with spices and a good bite of acidity. Roasted bittersweet ending with covered alcohol. A porter-like brew with an acid touch. Really unusual, but I like it (Oslo, 30.08.2011).

0.375l bottle shared with ClubGonzo and the rest of Bergen Tasting Crew. This little guy pours a near black body with a small bubbly sidesticking tanned head. Aroma has roasted malts, sour coffee, notes of burned rubber, black wood and hints of alcohol. Soft carbonation, light oily mouthfeel, and it's medium-bodied. This is one strange imp stout! It's brett-sour, has some burned malts, lots of coffee and a really nice roasted, sour and bitter finish and aftertaste. One different beer indeed but I have to say that I liked it.

Small brown head. Opaque black body. Deep earthy burnt vade mecum aroma with spicy herbal notes. This is certainly unusual. Dry-sweet-acidic burnt vade mecum taste with earthy compost notes. Fullish body. Hot mouthfeel. Dryish burnt funky chocolatey aftertaste with vinegary coffee notes. Burning compost and alcohol taste lingers. Couldn’t finish this. (0.375l bottle, wine monopoly, Vika, Oslo.)
