Bottle. It’s an unclear, golden-orange beer topped by a small, off-white head. The aroma is too much on the cooked vegetable side, with green apples, some fruityness and pale malts underneath. Lots of grass. The flavor has a touch of diacetyl, with the DMS sure present. Some fruityness and pale malts too. Medium body, soft carbonation. DMS and diacetyl in the end. Some fruityness too. A rather bad one, but with some qualities. 130420

500 ml bottle (probably pasteurised), as Norseman Pale Ale (Orkney / Sinclair Brweries is only mentioned on the rear label), at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.4%. Golden colour, moderate white head. Strong sweetish aroma of pear drops and butterscotch. The flavour is initially more malty than hoppy, medium sweet with a dry finish, hints of butterscotch and pear drops again, quite bitter hoppy aftertaste though. Drinkable, but this is not Orkney’s / Sinclair’s best beer. Maybe more "English" in style than Orkney’s other ales.
