12 fl.oz can. A murky golden beer with a big off-white head. Aroma of apricot, bitter fruity hops, yellow fruits. Taste of strong hoppy pale malt, yellow fruits, honey, apricot, some spruce, marmalade, long bitter finish.

Multi-grain imperial NEIPA (containing, apart from barley, wheat, spelt and oats) flavoured with honey and hopped with Australian and New Zealand hops, hence the name. From a 355 ml can. Yellowish egg-white, irregularly edged, thick and frothy, uneven-bubbled and slowly breaking, yet quite stable head (eventually retaining as a mousy ring and flat floating 'islands'), completely 'opaque'-cloudy and even milky, pale orangey-hued apricot blonde robe. Luscious, dank, tropical yet 'refreshing', enticing bouquet of tangerine, granadilla, mango chutney, guava, rambutan, indeed (acacia) honey, grapefruit zest, mandarin, sugar loaf, even cake dough, hints of sweet red onions, lemon pie, gasoline, pine-scented hand soap, marmalade, banana and an underlying note of, well, dirt. Tropical fruit fills the onset, mango, papaja, guava, rambutan, sweet but with a refreshingly lime-like citric edge; well carbonated for a NEIPA, with somewhat stinging, minerally effects, but actually adding to its drinkable and refreshing quality. Fluffy, creamy malt body, sweet cake dough with a thin layer of indeed honey on top, accentuating the apparent sweetness of the hops, releasing a wave of sultry tangerine, papaja and granadilla retronasally but also depositing a peppery, tangy bitterness onto the root of the tongue, albeit still in a relatively mild manner, in accordance with this style's 'prescriptions'. The alcohol, manifesting itself as a subtly gin-like 'afterglow', does accentuate this end bitterness, but it is clearly the overall 'tropical juiciness' that gets the last word. Your typical dank, lush and juicy New England style IPA even if made in San Diego - but with the aid of Mikkeller San Diego, which has (to me) proven before that they are very good at mastering NEIPA's little nuances. A fine example of the style, I think, though still lacking just a bit in the complexity and refinement found in similar beers from the greatest hazy IPA brewers in actual New England, which still stand strong as a standard for judging NEIPAs as far as I'm concerned - even if the genre has now spread all over the western world.
Bit too sweet for an IPA for me, but excellent and highly drinkable.

Can. Hazy gold beer, good cream colour head. Smooth and slightly soft palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Soft creamy malts, some grain in there. Pine. A little spice. Ripe citrus peel. Ripe tropical fruits. Fresher fruits underneath. Little floral pine on the finish. Tasty little dipa. Well not little but not top top drawer, just very good.

Can 355ml (Beergium, canned 03/2019)
Murky orange colour, medium-sized off-white head and lace. Hop oils and dankyness in the nose. Medium-bodied. Pineapple, mango juice and dankyness in the flavour. Light hopburn. Quite typical juicy IPA.
