Caracole’s best known beer, named after Adolphe Sax. Thick, rocky, pale yellowish white head, golden blond colour with orange hue, misty. Fresh aroma of grassy hops, orange, pear, lemon, coriander, vanilla, butter, straw and pale malt sweetishness. Fresh onset too, some citrus peel, rounded and fruity palate but only lightly sweet, drying up towards the finish with spicy yeastiness and hop bitterish finish. Elegant, accessible and very drinkable for an 8% ABV ale, with a certain saison influence.

33 cl. bottle poured in to a Tulip. Hazy, amber colour with a huge, white fluffy head, that fades to fluffy lumps. Fruity aroma with yeasts, almost bretts-like, pepper, spices, citrus, hay and floral hops. Taste is light bitter. Medium body with a creamy texture and a lively carbonation - bordering aggressive. Long lasting fruity finish with big yeasts, citrus and tart fruits. Rather a lot of yeasts and tart fruits in this one.

Shared bottle at local tasting. Golden colour. Sweetish aroma, notes of white kandij sugar syrup and spicy Belgian ale yeast. The flavour is not as sweet as I feared, quite nice actually. Mild spicy notes.
