Poured a bit of a brown color with a small light off-white head. Aroma was smoked malts, lots of smoked notes dominate this one. Light nutty notes from the malts, sweetness. Toasty. Smoked finish.

Nice hookup from hopdog. 750mL bottle. Pours with a dark brown color and a small head. Aroma is not just smoked but as nice chard character. I like the mix of smoke and char. Flavor has more smoke and a cedar character. Its light and not boozy. Good smoke beer.
Re-rate: wow, when the heck did I have this beer originally. Well, I am at the brewpub right now in Lancaster. The beer seems to have changed a lot. Its a really tasty porter but I get no smoke, such a small percentage of the malt bill. I’ll leave the original rating b/c I am too lazy to think of new numbers.

750 ml bottle shared by beastiefan2k. Pour is brown ruby, mostly clear with a smallish off white head that falls fast. Aroma is pure and full smoked peat, big and charred. Really not much else, eventually some roasted malt pokes through. One dimensional. Taste is more of the same, just pure charred smoke and peat. Light touch of the roast malt. Palate is medium, mouth coating (and sinus engulfing) and just the residual char. Wow, smoke bomb, one dimensional but still a fun one. Thanks Eugene.
