Poured into a pint glass, the appearance was a semi-dark brown color with a thin off white cap of a head. Sly lace.
The aroma took an English yeast to create some butterscotch, sweet bread, caramel and toffee tones rolling over a delicate chocolate malt. Super subtle roast.
The flavor chose the malty sweet side of those previously mentioned aromas. Just a touch of acceptable diacetyl touching down in the aftertaste and runs into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Decent carbonation. ABV felt fine.
Overall, as an English porter it works. I would have again.

Draft @ brewpub. Color is dark brown, almost black. Comes with a light brown head that sticks around. Aroma is burnt coffee and slight diacetyl, which is not too bad for the style; butterscotch works. Has a watery yet dry feel to it, like an Irish Stout. Flavor has a very dry ashy aspect. There is some diacetyl as well, very light.
