Bottle from Kris Wines, Holloway. Black pour with a fluffy beige head. Aromas of raisin, coffee, dark chocolate and blackberry. Flavours of bonfire toffee, black treacle, blackcurrant, coffee and dark chocolate. Some varied tastes in there. Nice, smooth dry angle. Plenty of alcohol warmth. Good stuff.

Bottle. Hop Hideout, Sheffield. Nearly black. Thick, bubbly, lasting, sticky, tan head. Moves in slow motion. Lovely looking beer. Nose has dregs of red wine. Hard caramel chocolates. Woody, and grassy. Dark fruits. Taste is fruity, tangy, and vinous bitter. Woody dryness. Soft, smooth mouthfeel. Finishes light, slightly smoky, fruity tart, bitter. Sank this in no time. Lovely tang. Nice stout in red wine barrels. Not much to dislike, for me.

Bottle shared in London - cheers to Daniel for this one. Pours deep brown with a creamy tan head. Rich malts in the nose, some earth, ripe fruits. Medium to heavy sweet flavor with dark fruits, berries, toffee. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Warming finish with more hearty dark fruit character. Not bad overall.

Bottle. Black pour, off white head. Aroma of vinous tardy red fruit, coffee, caramel and licorice. Taste of caramelised malt, red wine, red fruit tart, oak, fresh anise and bitter coffee in the finish. Better than expected.

Bottle split at Jack The Sipper leaves for the FBI again tasting, thanks to Daniel, 14/07/15. Black topped with a decent tan covering. Nose is dark malts, dark fruit peel, chocoalte, earthy notes. Taste comprises light roast, trace of barrel, dark chocolate, molasses, light charr. Medium + bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Low end of style, not a stinker but simply lacks depth.

Farewell Jack bottleshare at Craft Clerkenwell. Thanks to Dan. Opaque black - brown beer, good pale tan head. Airy dark malts with a little creamy sweetness. A delightful floral winey vibe, slightly tangy and tastes like white wine. Not two flavours I would think would work but they really complement each other here. very nice.

Bottle thanks to Daniel. It pours jet black with a small beige head. The nose is soft, salty seawater, quite rich, earthy, slated liquorice, cocoa, rocky road, candy and jammy fruits. The taste is smooth, rich roast, earthy, light ash, liquorice, vinous quality, jammy dark fruits, brown sugar and some warming alcohol through to the finish. Medium body and moderate foamy carbonation. Not a terrible amount of depth, but rather drinkable anyhow.

330ml bottle thanks to JefVerstraete. Pours black with large tan head. Sweetish malt & vegetal aroma. Fairly fizzy, some berry fruit, liquorice and roasted malt but nothing seems to gel with some odd off-flavours coming through. Really struggled to finish this.
