Bottle from JefVerstraete., many thanks. Dark red brown color with medium beige head. Sour red wine aroma with notes of dark malt. Malty taste followed by nice red wine tartness. Fruity tart finish. Good.

Complete black color with a frothy fine beige head. Coffee and wine initial in the aroma. Chocolate and oak after a while. The body actually felt a bit thin for a beer like this. Fine balance between sweetness and bitterness. Soft carbonation. Smooth and easy drinkable. Well hidden alcohol. Oak, wine, chocolate and coffee in the flavor.

Wine BA / RIS - als eerste compliment voor het mooie etiket (+1), schenkt zwart, nagenoeg kraagloos, echter wat er op blijft liggen is mooi kleverig. in het aroma vallen de droppigheid en de wijntonen direct op. eerste slok, direct komt de rode wijn binne, wat brett achtig, vervolgens iets van eikenhout, niet al te dikke body, vervolgens komt de chocolade moutigheid, koffie en bijbehorend bittertje, alcoholpercentage van 10% valt eigenlijk niet te bemerken, de typische kenmerken van een stout worden redelijk naar achteren gedrongen door de mooie wijn/brett zuurtjes, tevens iets van kalkdroogheid. maar al met al een erg lekker bier ! --- Beer merged from original tick of Dead Man's Hand (Barrel Aged) on 23 May 2018 at 16:55 - Score: 8

330 ml bottle. Pours black with moderate head of big bubbles. Aromas of port, sugar, and stale coffee. Flavors of wine and beer - no surprise. OK flavors of sour woody wet wine barrels, coffee, roasted malts and a hint of chocolate. Neat but a bit too vinous.

Bottle shared by Abijen @ weekly tasting. Brown color, virtually no head. Smell and taste malts, lightly alcoholic, a touch of liquorice, slightly bitter, a slight touch of wine. Hmm not what I expected and a but disappointing. Meh.
