Draught at Bottleworks, Seattle
Black color with compact beige head. The aroma is strongly sour, wood, dark fruits, fruit stones, cherry, maybe even some acetone. The mouthfeel is lean, with a light oily feeling; woody, luckily not roasty, but with a touch of dark malts, probably with very low residual sugars, and deeply sour but not excessive.
Interesting, very nice, quite complex, although there is a bit too much acetone for my liking.

12oz snifter pour at Brouwer’s. Dark red, almost brown color. Softly acetic and strong cherry nose. Very earthy almost a soil character. Light and simple acetic character in the flavor. Mouthfeel is flatish. Long dry sourness finish. Really drying and a dry red apple end, which is my favorite part of the beer. Its designed to be acetic sour but fortunately restrained enough for my tastes. I wish it had a younger, no sour base or a lactic quality.

On tap at Brouwer's Cafe, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out complex yeasts, tart dark fruits and light vinegar. Flavour is along the same lines, with complex yeast, tart dark fruits and low acidity and vinegar. Very complex and well-balanced. Excellent.

Draft pour at the Brouwers cafe 10th anniversary party. Totally my kind of part too. Pours a dark ruby color with a dark fruit, sour cherry aroma. Tart up front, with some cherry, mixed berry, and and some funk. Definitely a pucker up beer, which I can’t complain about. It’s kinda what I’m looking for. Wet, sweet and sour fruit finish. Delicious. I’ve learned one thing, and that is that these guys all make great beers for brouwers anniversary parties. For that, I say keep them coming. Love the place, love the beer Awesome stuff.
