A golden colored German style ale with a light-medium body. German grown malts provide a sweet grainy aroma and flavor that’s balanced with a subtle sweetness character which adds complexity as the beer finishes.

Do aft at the Handlebar. Deep golden pour, small but sturdy white foamy head. Soft grainy aroma, bready. Taste adds a light crisp snap to the malty, bready base. Paired with a nice smooth, creamy feel. Mild lingering bitterness.

On tap at Dru Bru, pours a clear pale golden yellow with small white head. Aroma brings out biscuity malt and light cereal notes. Flavour is clean, with cereal malt sweetness and biscuity malt. Finishes with the cereal sweetness. Standard and forgettable, but decently made.

Draft pour pint at Hop and Hound. I think 95% of my kolsch consumption has been for hydration purposes during my long days of running. Today is a perfect day for running and light beer to pair. Clear pale pour with an active fizz head. Clean grain aroma. High carb, near absent flavor. Went down like a bottle of water in the desert though. That’s gotta say something right?

Sampler at brewpub. Brewpub lightest ale standard for those faint at heart. Has a slight creamy/lactose character that was a fun addition.
