Johnny's Blue Collar Lager

Shaker pint draft at Johnny’s in Overland Park, Kansas. The pour is a clear, darker golden, with a ½ inch foamy head that lasts, and leaves nice lace. The aroma is biscuit malt, soft sweetness, grass and a hint of fruit sweetness. Clean and fresh nose. The taste is a gentle blend of the malt notes of biscuit, and fruit sweetness, finishing towards the dry and clean grass. The palate is medium bodied, nice mouthfeel, with active carbonation and a crisp, softly mineral finish. This one really surprised me, really satisfying beer.

On tap at a restaurant across from Johnny’s in West Lawrence. Dark, clear, gold color. Nice thick head. Served in a can shaped glass. Head pops out like an awesome muffin top. Its a clean lager with lots of sweet white biscuit maltiness. Not cracker like but not under attenuated sweetness. A bit short and sharp hop bitterness at the end. Simple and delightful.
