Shaker pint from a firkin cask at the Old Chicago. First pours off the cask come with a nice foamy head. Color is messy light brown with a rainbow of other colors from the adjuncts. Aroma is weird with lots of raspberry that comes off as syrup. Also some zingy citrus from the orange peel. Not much in the way of the actual base beer and no coco nibs. The flavor is akin to blending some soda (or pop as the call it out here) with some beer. The orange peel comes off as sunnier and the raspberries make it like some fruit punch. Interesting experience but I did not even finish my shaker.

Shaker pint from a firkin cask at the Old Chicago in Overland Park, Kansas. Pour is a very hazy brown, with light ruby red highlights. The head is a smallish light tan. Quite cold to the touch, though I think that’s the iced glass rather than the beer. Aroma is nutty malt, along with sweet raspberry. The fruit is syrupy smelling, but still natural. Taste is the raspberry syrup sweet mixed with nutty malt, finishing with sweet dry cocoa chocolate. Palate is medium, nice soft natural carbonation, with a sweet fruit finish, and then dries out with the cocoa. Nice.
