Shaker pint draft at the brewpub in Lawrence, Kansas. Pour is alight haze orange copper with smallish off white head. As the beer recedes, pretty streaky lacing is left behind. Aroma is bright and fresh, hoppy tropical fruits along with a nice resin. Really reminds me of the Sculpin nose. It’s more or less bursting with freshness. Taste is mostly the bright citrus pineapple fruit, followed with a nice resinous quality. The taste is nice, but not as burstingly fresh as I was anticipating from the nose. Regardless, this is still delicious stuff. Palate is medium to light bodied, crisp dry finish. Nicely made IPA, probably the best hoppy Free State beer I have had.
